It's that time of the year where my 1st and 2nd graders learn their home row keys.
I love the program Dance Mat Typing and I think some of the kids like it also.
I do notice once they start getting the hang of it, they start to love how fast they can type.
I started this year handing out this printout to help the student see what fingers are in charge of what letters. I think it helps them understand why it is
important to use the home row keys when typing.
Here is Mrs. Neal's 2nd grade class rocking and rolling on the keyboard. So proud of them. So far they have learned the home row keys, letters g, h, e, i, r, and u.
