My Kindergarten students have been working hard and I wanted something fun and easy for them to do. Found this awesome website ( thisissand) for them to create their own sand art and of course, they amazed me with their creativity!

Future Pop Art Artist
I always love when my students get excited about a lesson they learned in my class. I told my 5th-grade class the next lesson would be for them to find a picture they would like to turn into pop art. I was surprised to find my students sharing their finished creations so quickly.
Make sure to check back often to see the new pop art added.

Build A Logo to Express Yourself
4th Grade students used google docs and drawing to create a logo to express who they are. Students started in google docs by making a list of things that described themselves. (for example, their favorite subject, if they like listening to music, etc...) Students then used this list to start creating a logo in google drawings only using the shapes available.
Check back throughout the week to see more classes logos!
Who Will Be The Next Lichtenstein?
"Pop art" is a type of art in which common objects, such as soup cans and road signs, are often used as the main subject matter. Images from popular cultures, such as famous people or characters, are also commonly used. My 5th-grade students studied the well-known pop art artist, Roy Lichtenstein.
We used a swan as our subject matter, added an outline, then filled the outlined sections with their color choice. Then like any artist, students added their signature, minus a few that forgot to.
